Hello all,

I saw this and just had to join in. I grew up in and recently moved back to
the San Fernando Valley. And I was one of those CSUN students playing in
the snow in '89. I love it here this is my home (I spent 8 years in Chicago
after I graduated from CSUN). It does get hot, but at least it's a dry
heat. There are pockets in the valley that are scumy, but there are some
that are really nice. You just need to check them out. The problem with the
Valley and LA in general is the traffic. The only way to get around is by
car. I mean who really want to ride a subway in the middle a city that has
earthquakes! Not I.

Anyway, glad to join you all. If you'd like more information on the Valley
I'd be happy to help.

Rosebeth
