Gov. Gray Davis has rushed to fill vacancies

Well, *that*'s over.

You know?  Right now, I'm speechless at the result.  Speechless.  I
just don't know what to say.  I won't get into politics - I don't care
who everyone voted for, and whether or not you wanted Davis out or not
- but I'm *stunned* that Arnold almost got enough percentage points to
win a REAL election.  Nobody ever expected the winner of this race to
have almost 50% of the vote!

My family (okay, my husband's family) emails each other every day, and
most of them live on the east coast.  It's telling that there's only
been one email so far this morning - usually there are at least 5 by
7:30 our time.  I think they're speechless, too - and that's saying
something.

They never shut up. ;)

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled program...
