Hi, Rick!

The City Diner sounds fine to me, unless someone else comes up with another suggestion. So, shall we say (unless a different venue is suggested) that the meet-up will take place on Sunday, 15th February, at 3.00 at the City Diner in San Jose? I figure we can go with the earlier time - if anyone can't make it that early, they can always join us later, as we'll probably want to hang out for several hours.

So, will everyone who is interested in coming please respond to this, so Rick can get an idea of how many to expect (and decide if we need to try and reserve that back room or not)? As soon as I get a chance, I'll post an annoucement about this in the HP_California Live Journal (I think there are few people there who aren't on this list), and then post here about anyone on that list who's coming, so we can get an accurate idea about the numbers.

And I do have a few HP-type things I could wear . . . and *might* be willing. ::grin:: I could wear my cloak in any case (not sure if I want to turn up in full regalia, though). ::grin::

Looking forward to meeting people!

:-)
Wendy

Feb. 15th works for me,someone suggested 3 or 4pm,that's cool with me. Hopefully we can get enough people to show up. I am still looking for a convenient place we all can meet, though I have a couple of ideas. "City Diner" is very close to freeways 85 and 101. It's a 50's style restaurant with memorabilia hanging everywhere, and their menus are on vinyl record albums. They have alot of space and they're hardly ever crowded, reasonably priced, great food, and there's plenty of free parking. I'm sure I could reserve the back section for us in advance. Also, there is "Baker's Square",in the same vicinity, though it does get crowded at times. Im still looking for a more fun place to meet, something like "The Three Broomsticks" or "The Leaky Cauldron",but San Jose doesnt seem to have many places like this. There are a few pubs, but theyre very small, loud and crowded. Again,Im still looking,so nothing is set in stone yet. If anyone has ideas, please share
them. If "City Diner" sounds good, let me know, and I will contact them.
Also, how does everyone feel about showing up in costume(Hogwarts/Wizard robes, etc)? It's not a requirement, but for those that have them,it would be fun, what do you think?

Have you gone out and bought your Harry Potter Valentine's Day Cards yet? They're in stores now!
