Hi:
Questions from the techie novice --
1. Does it matter which program we compose our FAQs in? I was using
Word 97 at the moment.
2. Does it matter how I set the margins & which font & point size I
choose? I assume we want them to all look standard.
3. How can I judge how long a FAQ is becoming? If I have 4.5 pages in
Word (with reasonably large margins & white space) -- is this "too much"
when it's converted to a FAQ (i.e., will it likely run multiple pages in
HTML)? Does this even make sense -- or should I just compose without
regard to length?
4. For updating purposes, how will each FAQ maintainor go about
updating his/her FAQs? That is -- will I be required to learn HTML
coding in order to go in & update my FAQs? That might be a good thing
if I were forced to learn --- just curious though.
5. As a former English major, I'm a bit of a grammarian. Does anyone
have any serious objections to Melanie & I doing final edits on all the
FAQs (purely for stylistic points -- nothing substantive)? I would, of
course, be in favor of retaining the British spelling used by Neil &
Simon though. I'm really talking about just proofing the FAQs to be
sure there aren't any typos or glaring grammar issues (or things that
are misspelled, whether judging by British English or American English).
Well, those are all my questions at the moment.
Penny
