You can link to my email -- pennylin at swbell.net

What about the case of extensive revisions? Let's just take the
Hermione FAQ for example. Let's say that I needed to not only add in
sentences but basically reword things intermittently throughout the
document to take into account someone's new thoughts. Let's say I also
needed to add in new footnotes (and update existing footnotes) -- is it
still the case that you want me to just type those changes up & send
them to you, only to have you retype them yet again?

I admit I know nothing about HTML, but it seems to me it would be easier
to have step-by-step instructions that even the uninitiated FAQ
maintenance crew members could follow. <g> Obviously, I want to do the
easiest thing possible for everyone. But, I'm afraid you might come to
hate me, Steve! When I'm revising a document, I tend to revise a fair
bit of phrasing as I'm going along -- or I see things that should really
be moved around a bit. I can try to curb this tendency .... but is
there no way to let us actually do the edits ourselves? I'm a
semi-professional writer, have been an editor in some form or fashion
for nearly 15 years and might ...cough ... have some control issues with
documents. :--)

Yes. Be sure to send a duplicate announcement to the Announcements
list. You might also make note in the message if updated FAQs are also
available (like when the changed version of Fanfiction is up).
