Hi --
OTHER READING FAQ: Thanks ever so much Voicelady! I just looked at your
FAQ, and it's set up exactly as I envisioned it. I think it's very
user-friendly & comprehensive. The only thing I wondered (and it's a
question): should we asterisk Peg Kerr's name & indicate that she's a
member of the group?? I suppose we should definitely ask her first in
any case.
If you want to do any of the other "open" FAQs, just say the word,
okay? <g>
VFAQs -- Neil, this also looks great! The only thing I spotted was that
the ancestor/descendant VFAQ should cross-reference the Mysteries FAQ as
well. I at least regard it as still a Mystery since Jo said it should
be corrected and yet it's inexplicably not corrected in later versions.
BRITISH EDUCATION FAQ -- I'm glad John will do this for us -- it's
probably deserving of a whole FAQ & should take care of some newbie
questions (as well as questions that arise in the course of all
discussions for that matter).
MISSING FAQ -- one other FAQ that I continue to keep forgetting should
be added to the "open" list is a character FAQ on Peter Pettigrew. We
should at least add it to the index & offer all the "open" FAQs up to
the general membership to author if none of us feel up to the task. I
think though that we should focus on getting all of our assigned FAQs
done & uploaded first. The completed ones can then serve as a guideline
for anyone considering writing one of the remaining FAQs.
HTML & FORMATTING FAQs -- Paul, we're definitely still hoping you'll
help with this process! Glad to hear you're still around. We're
getting going again, so please check in periodically. Voicelady was
just asking about how to format her one FAQ -- I don't *think* she was
volunteering to format & HTML all the FAQs! <g>
UPDATES: Thanks to Simon for his updates. It sounds as though you're
about where I am with this task! <g> Here's my brief update. I hope
to finish combing through Hermione messages today. I will then write
the FAQ up formally next week when I return. I will then immediately
turn to the Mysteries FAQ -- I intend to knock this one out asap too.
This leaves me with only Hogwarts, and once there is only one FAQ left,
hopefully I will be motivated to get it wrapped up quickly. I confess
I'm beginning to feel some pressure to get this done quickly (my part
that is) .... just in case baby makes an early appearance.
Sometime before next week, could you all let me know which FAQs that are
uploaded are ready to be edited and HTML'd? Once I finish Hermione, I
may go ahead & start the editing of any others that are ready to go.
Of course, this also means we've got to make a decision soon about
*where* these are being uploaded!
