How About Progress Reports? & Harry FP, Again

I am still interested (especially in the Heir of Gryffindor section), 
but need to go back to a point Amanda raised awhile back which is: 
for FAQ newbies (such as myself), can one of the oldbies please walk 
us through how to write a FAQ?  I can get a general idea of style and 
format from reading the existing FAQs, but I'm confused about where 
to find the fantastic post examples.  Are we supposed to comb through 
the enchilada to find appropriate posts?  That prospect seems rather 
daunting, IMO.
