Hi all --
Invigorated by the New Year, I'm trying to step back into normal life again.
One of my goals in this New Year is to at least update some of the FPs that
I wrote lo so many years ago now.
Turns out this is a pretty worthwhile goal, as I just finished a book
entitled "Faith Journey through Fantasy Lands" by Russell Dalton, and he
cites the Religion FAQ of HP4GU in his footnotes.
So, I have renewed interest in updating some of these FPs that I wrote, but,
being badly out of touch with HP4GU in general, I have some questions about
how to best go about this.
1. The whole Enchilada ----- this resource covers how many posts starting
August 2001 when we switched over from the Yahoo Clubs to egroups? Did we
just get up to 30,000 or did we go beyond that?
2. For posts that aren't yet covered in the Whole Enchilada, I suppose I'm
left with the Yahoogroups search function. Yes? :::groans::::
3. If I just do a revised version in Word, using the original Word version
I still have on my computer and revising from there, are there techie people
still subbed to this group who could take that and HTML and otherwise
magically cause it to be uploaded to our FPs site?
I would still like to help out with the Harry FP, though I think I will edge
back into things by trying to revise some of these earlier FPs. I think I
mentioned that I did a post-OOP Hermione summary over on FA that will
substantially update the Hermione FP, even if I haven't yet taken a look at
any of the Hermione discussions that have occurred on HP4GU. Which I guess
is another question: would it be worthwhile for me to update say the
Hermione FP without reference to the HP4GU discussions and then spend the
time to comb through HP4GU messages to update it further, or should I only
do one massive update, no matter how long that might take?
Hope everyone is doing well!
Penny
