Never used this list before even though I'm subscribed. I *think*
this is where it goes, but we've so many lists...

>From Bloomsbury's HP mailing list (which most of you probably get
anyway)

"HELLO AGAIN FROM THE BLOOMSBURY WEB CLUB
Thank you so much to everyone who replied to our first newsletter. We
really enjoy receiving your comments and suggestions so keep sending
them in. We would also like to say sorry to those of you who received
more than one copy of the newsletter - that's muggle computers
for
you! Wouldn't it be great if we could use owl post instead! We have
fixed the technical glitch but apologies to those of you who got the
email more than once.

POETRY COMPETITION
We've had lots of entries for our Summer Theme poetry competition
for
8 and 9 year olds so thank you for those. There's still time to
enter
as the closing date isn't until 28th June. THOMAS TAYLOR, the
illustrator of the U.K. edition of J.K. Rowling's HARRY POTTER
AND
THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE, will illustrate the winner's poem and
the
poem will be posted on Bloomsburymagazine together with a selection
of the entries. Read full details of the competition and how to enter
at: http://www.bloomsburymagazine.com/redir.asp?id=25

Just to remind you, the subject of the poem should be SUMMER not Harry
Potter (although some of you have cleverly written poems about Harry
set in summer!) If you've already entered with a poem about Harry,
feel free to send us another one. For those of you who are older (or
younger) than 8 and 9 - don't worry, we will be doing other
competitions for other age groups in the future so keep an eye out
for those."

<<<A new contest for those of us who are older?!?! Somehow I imagine
that still doesn't extend to most of this group. ;-)>>>

READING SUGGESTIONS
Thanks to all of you who sent us reading suggestions after the last
email. We really appreciate hearing about the books you enjoy reading
and we will include some of your suggestions in our `What can I
read
next?' section. If you are looking for something to read at the
moment why not try TOOTS AND THE UPSIDE DOWN HOUSE by Carol Hughes.
Toots, a lonely child, discovers a fantastic upside-down world above
and beyond the ceiling of her house. In this world, where up is down
and down is somewhere else entirely, she battles with good and evil,
and discovers a way to come back down to Earth and renew her love for
her widowed dad. http://www.bloomsburymagazine.com/redir.asp?id=57

If you take a look at our News section you'll find lots of ideas
for
other books to read:

SCHOOL MOTTO
We had a few queries about the school motto which appeared at the
bottom of the last newsletter. Just so you know, `Draco Dormiens
Nunquam Titillandus' is the Latin for `Never tickle a
sleeping
dragon'. Draco means dragon, dormiens means sleeping, nunquam
means
never and titillandus means tickle!

Do let us know if you have any suggestions about things you would
like to see us include in our newsletter or on our site.

Happy reading,

>From the team at Bloomsburymagazine.com

events in it now you do. I really hope this was the right list to
