B.K. DeLong of The Leaky Cauldron and I have just set up a Yahoogroup
for webmasters and Yahoogroup mods in the HP fandom. We hope to use
it to trade info about hosting and technical things, new sites we
might want to link to, book/movie issues, and the like.

At this point, to keep the list from being top-heavy, we're going to
put a few restrictions on joining. Here's the breakdown:

1. If you want to join, you *have* to post a comment in reply to THIS
LJ posting (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?
journal=heidi8&itemid=51841) and give your email address and the url
for your site/yahoogroup.

2. If your site has under 100 members/registered users or has been
around less than a month, you can join but your posts will be
moderated; we expect that people will be removed from mod status
about a month after your join date, if you've updated your site
during the month, but it's at the moderator team's discretion. We're
doing this not to stifle discussion, but to keep spammers who only
want to advertise their products or services, not to discuss
site/group issues, off the list.

3. If your site has over 100 members/registered users, has been
around more than a month, or is updated at least monthly, you can
join and you will be off moderated status within a day of joining
(that allows us to approve you to join the list, and then get to the
list to remove you from mod status as quickly as we can, but it can't
be simultaneous).

4. No more than 3 members of the Yahoogroup from any one website,
please.

How does that sound? Go, subscribe and post your URLs if you want to
join!
