Everything should be back up shortly, but for now, why not go read a new fic (and email your feedback to the author instead of posting it to the reviewboard). The list of the most recent fics & chapters uploaded is at http://www.schnoogle.com/blog/index.shtml - we'll have everything back up again soon! Being a huge HP fan and a cinema manager, I was delighted and excited that my site - the IMAX at Waterloo - is getting Harry Potter 3 from July 19th. I've read over the group information, and hope this is the right place to let people know about the screenings. If not my apologies for cluttering people's inboxes. The IMAX at Waterloo is the biggest screen in Britain, being 20m by 26m, and the film itself has been digitally remastered so that even at this huge size the image will be pin sharp. We also have the most powerful sound system in the country - over 1100 watts - so that the experience is more immersive than a standard cinema venue. We're booking now on 020 7902 1234. Hope to see some of you here. Kind regards.... I just completed Phase One, which gets things moving. It's a very simple site and will remain so - filled with reliable, timely news and information. Right now, the site features: - "What we know so far" (quick reference of all the known information on book 6) - "Most recent book 6 progress statement" from J.K. Rowling (to be continually updated) - Latest book 6 headlines direct from HPANA - Latest discussion topics on book 6 from HPANA's forums - Book 6 title information (includes all registered titles from the U.S. and UK trademark offices) Take a look and see if I missed anything, got anything wrong. Feedback and further contributions are *most* welcome (especially if you have a specific theory you'd like featured on the upcoming Theories page). Send e-mails to hbpinfo@ hpana.com. This means that we should be through with "server busy" messages for good! We'd like to thank the wonderful guys at dragon.com for their incredibly generous server donation - they've put together a wonderful package for us, and all FA has to do, going forward, is cover the bandwith costs, which we expect will be between $100 and $150 per month - of course, the money for those costs (and things like license fees and domain name registration) comes from donations from our users, and what we earn from our affiliations with Hot Topic ( http://www.qksrv.net/click-1468905-3751245 ), Amazon.com ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/fictionalley-20 ), Amazon.co.uk ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/redirect- home/fictionalley-21 ), the WB Shop ( http://www.qksrv.net/click- 1468905-10280328 ), Cafe Press ( http://www.cafeshops.com/cp/store.aspx?s=fashoppe ) and clicks on the GOOGLE ads you'll see on some fictionalley pages. We appreciate all your help. In the immediate future, what does the site move mean for you, other than the end of the Server Busy messages? It means that we're not uploading fics on Friday or Saturday (UK time), because that's about how long it's going to take for us to move the fic houses. It means that at some point in the next week, we are going to close FictionAlley Park to new posts, and new registrations, and we're going to close to new reviews and new art posts as well, as we move all the reviewboards, ArtisticAlley, and the Park. Instead, we're going to have moderated chatroom discussions for the duration, to help you weather the lull. You can take advantage of the pause in fic uploads and read a fic for The Unexpected Task at http://www.fictionalley.org/fictionalleypark/forums/forumdisplay.php? s=&forumid=111 or spend some time in the Cookie Jar threads in FictionAlley Park at http://www.fictionalley.org//fictionalleypark/forums/forumdisplay.php ?forumid=80 - or spend a little extra time tweaking your own story before you upload it. Also - just so you know - one of the reasons we're doing the changeover now is because it's FictionAlley's third birthday. Take a look at what we looked like three years ago here: http://web.archive.org/web/20010801160819/http://www.fictionalley.org / - oh my, how we've grown! Thanks for your patience! The latest chapter of The End of the Beginning has been uploaded to schnoogle.com (http://www.schnoogle.com/authorLinks/Saitaina/The_End_of_the_Beginning/ ) Er, put the URL back together if it fell apart. In this chapter: Chapter Ten: Laying to Rest After the last hero falls, how do those closest to him grieve? Shared memories, long gone afternoon games, hidden confessions and a packet of candy all play a role as Draco, Neville, Tom, Harry and Minerva struggle to deal with the death of Albus Dumbledore. Teaser: Draco turned to look at him and pulled Neville close, rocking him slowly. "We all need him, Nev. We can't keep up this fight without him...but we have to. We have to end this. For Albus, for Harry. For all those who fought and died to keep our world safe. We need to finish what they started for the sheer fact that they deserve it to be finished. They deserve for their deaths not to have been utterly, stupidly useless. We need for their deaths not to have been in vain. So that we can go on." The Story Summary: Neville is the Wizarding World's new hero, but is he ready to face those that betrayed him? The Story Basics: Neville has finally stopped the second war of Voldemort, but as the Wizarding World starts to rebuild, the survivors must deal with the fall out of war. Life is tough for a hero who never wanted to be. Between his boyfriend turning on him, his best friend being a temperamental dark wizard and his comrades going insane, Neville must deal with life as it is, and life as it will be. And with a new Dark Lord rising, life only looks like it's getting more hellish.
