1. Keep your eye on the website - http://www.hp2012.org - or our
Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/Ascendio2012 - through
Halloween as we announce our first HP Film Cast Member Guest for 2012!

1a. We're also thrilled to announce that novelists Lev Grossman (The
Magician King, Time Magazine), Beth Revis (Across the Universe) and
Aimee Carter (The Goddess Test) will also be attending Ascendio;
they'll each be doing readings, signings and panels.

2. We have a very, very tiny number of full registrations still
available at the $200 price; it'll go up to $225 in the next ten days,
and given some of the announcements we're expecting to make in
December, we think you'll be very happy to be able to have a Full
registration.

2a. Portofino Bay Resort hotel rooms at our $210+tax/night rate are
about one third booked. The standard rate for the hotel during our
conference starts at about $350, and while off-site hotels may be
slightly less expensive, we strongly recommend staying at the
Portofino Bay because of the convenience of staying at the conference
hotel, and the Express Pass option that you can use in both Universal
Orlando parks (with paid admission) including on Dragon Challenge and
Flight of the Hippogryff.

3. We've started accepting submissions for formal and informal
programming, meet-ups and fanfic readings! You can learn more - and
submit your plans and proposals - at the following links:

Informal Programming: http://hp2012.org/?p=619
Fanfic Readings: http://tinyurl.com/AscendioFF
Meet-ups: http://hp2012.org/?page_id=399
Formal Programming: http://hp2012.org/?page_id=463

Please consider proposing a round-table, discussion, panel, meet-up,
activity, workshop, fannish event, or something else! Let your
creativity, imagination and insight take flight!

Let us know if you have any questions!

Best,
 Heidi for Team Ascendio
