Might be better to ask *why* folk stop posting.
Me you know about, others may be for different causes.
If you're happy with the likes of Alla then I wish you joy of her.
What you won't be getting is any more Kneasy posts, that was
decided irrevocably at the turn of the year. That won't cause much
anguish or soul-searching among the assembled multitude - one or two
posters contributing/not contributing is neither here nor there when
there's such a large membership. Nor in the normal course of events
can a pain in the arse like Alla or Loonylaw of themselves determine
who can or can't express contrary or unpopular opinions, but for sure
the whole ambience of HPfGU has changed markedly over the past 9
months, and as the old saying has it - a fish rots from the head. The
board is what the Elves make it, or at least what they allow it to be.

Anybody can root out old FP posts, what you need are posters who can
write the next generation of FPs. And I suspect that the vast
majority of past FPs take an unconventional/iconoclastic/lateral
thinking approach to HP. The tenor of the current main board actively
discourages contrary opinions. Comparing the board now to what it was
like 2 years ago is a depressing exercise. Still, it's your board,
you can do what you like with it.
And I'll post elsewhere.

Kneasy
