PROGRESS ON CATALOGUING PROJECT AS AT 1st June 2005

56561 posts catalogued in total
30974 posts rejected in total (54.7%)
3534 posts catalogued in May

We have reached post 50400 on the main list.

The group currently still has 26 members, although about a third are 
currently not active for various reasons.

The coding process continues to pick up momentum, and we have set 
ourselves a new target: to try and code up to the release of GOF 
(post 61393), by the time HBP is published on July 16th - ie another 
10993 posts over the next 7 weeks. This is just do-able, at 
approximately 1500 posts per week.

We are also attempting to complete our category reviews by that date: 
currently we have completed 54 of our 106 review sections.

We feel that these would be major milestones to achieve before many 
people go AWOL to enjoy the HBP discussion. If at all possible, we 
would also like to launch a beta version of the catalogue in July 
assuming we hit these targets.

However, a launch is totally dependent on the tech team, Paul & Tim, 
completing the programming for a UI that everyone feels happy with. 
Work is progressing on this, but fairly slowly.
