The Aftermath...

Blackness.
Dull pain.
A crack of light. Something moving there...ah, my ceiling fan.
Reaching out, find something round. Yes, a donut.

Sweet nectar of the gods, that's good! Wow, what a party!

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for coming by, particularly Kelly
(have a great trip!). Second, I'd like to thank Potioncat for bringing the
nosh--divine donuts, really knocked down my hangover. Third, an *extremely*
reserved thanks to Ginger for reviving Carolyn. :) And last, the party
animal award goes to [drum roll] -- Kneasy!

Yes, I was as surprised as you to see that grinch boogie, but shake shake
shake it he did, and with the kind of reckless abandon that really warmed
the cockles of our hearts. I think that odious draft he brought with him
might have had something to do with it--butterbeer, my butt! Which reminds
me, whoever's got my pants, PLEASE return them; I may never find white
leather with purple fringe like that again!

Now let's see, a bit of mail here:

"Lupin means wolf," said Ginger, "and it's more that he exists." Ditto on
Gandalf. I mean Albus. My reject rate may not be quite that high, but the
sheer quantity of posts where DD is mentioned means that--especially early
on--his name was ticked almost non-stop. IMO, excellent job dividing the
wheat from the chaff, Ginger.

"Fear not," said ewe2, taking off the lampshade (for it was he) "for I shall
code them!" Wow, thanks ewe2. That's really stepping up. Very solid of you.
Now, um, could you *please* return my lampshade?

Kelly said: "Well, I failed spectacularly in my goal to finish all my review
sections before leaving on this trip.  And so I'm going to have to turn the
work over to you and the rest of the catalogue team." Then Kneasy said: "you
can change your mind." Hey now! Where was I when these rules were decided?!?
I'm so mad, I'd return my DD posts, if missus hadn't threatened me with Adds
Nothing New. ;)

Speaking of which, Carolyn said, "OK, will add the extra categories you
requested. Before you move the socks posts, check the socks category under
WW clothes." Thanks for the adds, but are you sure the socks stuff doesn't
just stay in the chapter where he said it? Socks have only been directly
connected to DD that once, but I will do as you say.

Kathy W asked, "Is there enough discussion to justify a separate category
for DD?" The answer--an unequivocal yes. Carolyn, could you please add a
Dumbledore subhead to Calculating Characters Ages? Thanks in advance, and
I'll put the DD Age posts there.

She went on to say, "I KNEW that doughnut would get Ginger a promotion! At
this rate, I'll be the only non-management person around." Hello? Maybe if
we're lucky, they'll let us spell each other in 12-hour shifts!

Cleaning up the aftermath of a party is so sad. Feels very symbolic,
somehow. But only 18 days until HBP--party at my place again, anyone? (This
time we'll even invite Carolyn!)
