Doug:
Anyway, with these examples in mind, I found that 35 of the 58 posts
(yeah, I know, what _took_ me so long?) are fine coded to 3.01.1.
Another 7 are marginally OK. I'd drop the code from 15 of them and
there's one that should be moved to Post-1900 history.
C- spluttering ever-so-slightly at the post count (I thought this
section must have thousands of posts or something)...Doug, I like
your analysis, all decisions sound very sensible. I think you have
got the idea just fine! You know what's coming, don't you.. feel free
to move right on to the next section!

Ginger:
Now I'm not a math type chick, but it seems to me that Pippin is
involved, directly or indirectly, in over 2/3 of the posts. If we
move her out, we have little left, and quite frankly, the rest of it
is 2 T-BAYs in which she (and her ESE theory) is mentioned and a few
other comments.
Just to note: A few of these are also coded to LYCANTHROPE.
A thought? Anyone?
Kathy W:
I'm not sure I see the problem. I think ESE!Lupin is very familiar
topic to the list in general. Wouldn't a new acronym confuse the
issue?
C - since her caped ESEness seems to have got bored with the topic of
her very own theory, I guess we have to decide what to do. Typical. I
agree with Kathy, and I think the way your thoughts are going too,
Ginger. I think it is damn silly to put all the ESE!Lupin posts under
LYCANTHROPE, no one will think to look there. I vote that you put all
the posts (ESE! & good) under ESE!Lupin, and just the one post that
coined LYCANTHROPE under that head, in the same way we have treated
all the other theories. So there.

C - yep, scram... double quick!

Kneasy (on TOC):
Blood, guts and ectoplasm everywhere. DD, Snape and a bunch of
Weasleys cop it in the neck. Plus Dobby. Plus Luna. And that
irritating midget Creevy. The DEs get sentenced as permanent
test-beds for experimental potions and spells - might as well
get some use out of 'em, they can pay their debt to society by
being lab rats. And if Hermione got her frontal lobes fried.... but
that's asking too much, I'm afraid. Pity. It might shut her up.
We deserve a bit of the old cathartic release, I think.
But fear not. If the worst comes to worst we have the technology,
the imagination, the sheer brass neck to reconstruct the HP plot-
lines into a BANGier format. Such a pity that we can't actually enter
the story a la Thursday Next and influence it from the inside.
C - I will not go into the day I had today. Suffice it was Very,Very,
Very Bad, and that's saying quite a lot by the standards of the last
month or so. Tired, emotional, murderous and clutching some booze I
idly looked at HPfGU, only to find the effing Snape row had broken
out YET again, with all the SAME protagonists, complete with same
obligatory Admin warning.
In despair I turn to TOC, which, by contrast, constantly seems to be
threatening to break out in sickening pink hearts. But no, Canute-
like, Kneasy stands firm to the end. What a hero. In gratitude, an
account should immediately be opened at Berry Bros...
Carolyn, pissed (in more ways than one).
