Jen: That's funny you say that. Just the other day I read about 
Steve Kloves in a screenwriter magazine and he mentioned as an 
aside "Remember Harry was an abused child and so he's always that 
boy in the cupboard looking through the slats of the door at 
reality" or something to that effect. I was surprised! No matter 
what problems I have with Kloves over the movies (and they aren't 
huge), he's the guy who knows the most background about the series 
of anyone, who has some of JKR's inside information so he can 
formulate the characters when the movie extrapolates. Plus, he's 
bound by a confidentiality clause which makes it even easier for Jo 
to spill a few more beans to him than to us!

Anyway, I was so curious to know if that observation was his own or 
something Jo mentioned either directly or indirectly. I'll probably 
have to take a peek in your category now, and see what a satisfying 
debate on the subject looks like.
