Debbie: I finished moving posts over from main Snape, but all of the subcats need reviewing for repetition, and I haven't checked the acronym categories at all. So please, feel free to dive into Snape & Love & LOLLIPOPS. I took on Young Snape and MWPP, because it was the largest subcat, and I'm 3/4 of the way done. IIRC, there's not a Snape post in the ones I need reviewing. There may be one or two from the ones I sent you that have been removed from LV already. I had started out uncoding as I went along and then decided it was faster just to read and sort and deal with the deleting later. If the numbers I gave you don't exist in LV, or if you see they were removed, it was due to redundancy. I should have mentioned that earlier. Sorry. Debbie is diligently doing Ginger a huge favour, and Jen is cursing under her breath under the pretense of casting a remembering spell on her hard drive. Ginger walks over to Miss H's desk. A note under the cobwebs reads: "I am out setting right all the incompetant fools who dare cross my path. Please page me if I'm needed." Ginger picks up the receiver on the phone in Miss' desk, presses the button marked "sonorus" and speaks. Her voice echos oddly down the halls: "Miss, if you could please come to the office at your convenience, I have need of your skills to set LV to rights. Thank you." Ginger sets a note on Miss' desk. It reads: Dear Miss, I am ready for the new LV cats to be installed. I have removed posts from everything except the main 2.10.1 category (currently my storage place) and from the Evil Overlord Handbook, all the acronyms, and Meaning of Name (which will no longer carry the analysis portion of the current title). I have all these posts recorded in my notes, which are saved onto my flash drive as well as on my hard drive, just in case. Should you find it necessary to empty any or all of these categories to move/rename them, feel free to do so. My plan is for the category to look like this: 2.10.1 Lord Voldemort/Tom Riddle 2.10.2 LV's family 2.10.2.1 Parents/Riddle side 2.10.2.2 Slytherin side 2.10.2.3 Theories on relations to others 2.10.2.3.1 TTTR 2.10.3 Before Harry 2.10.3.1 Birth/orphanage 2.10.3.2 Hogwarts years 2.10.3.2.1 Diary!Tom 2.10.3.3 Post-Hogwarts/rise to power 2.10.4 Post-Harry 2.10.4.1 Godric's Hollow 2.10.4.1.1 Where's LV's wand? 2.10.4.2 Albania and pre-rebirth 2.10.4.3 Graveyard and following 2.10.4.4 Eventual demise/outcome speculations 2.10.4.4.1 VITTLES 2.10.4.4.2 OVERCHARGING POWERMONGER 2.10.5 Powers and Plans 2.10.5.1 Agenda 2.10.5.1.1 Effects of prophecy 2.10.5.2 Possession 2.10.5.2.1 Ginny's possession 2.10.5.3 LV's body 2.10.5.3.1 SCREW 2.10.5.3.2 VIAGRA 2.10.5.3.3 VOLDEMORT WAKES A WILD ANIMAL 2.10.6 LV and... 2.10.6.1 Snape 2.10.6.2 Dumbledore 2.10.6.3 Death Eaters 2.10.6.3.1 Barty Jr and Peter 2.10.6.3.2 Lucius Malfoy 2.10.6.4 Dark creatures 2.10.6.5 Harry 2.10.7 Character analyses 2.10.7.1 VIM 2.10.7.2 Meaning of name 2.10.8 LV as a plot device 2.10.8.1 Evil Overlord handbook 2.10.9 LV as a literary conctruct 2.10.9.1 VIABLE 2.10.9.1 VICE SQUAD 2.10.10 Real life parallels I left out KITTENS AND RAINBOWS and PS I LOVE ME LET'S KISS as they have no posts at this time. Just a few notes: I put LV's wand in with GH because most of the posts about his wand were wondering where it went after that time and how he got it back. The phoenix/PI posts are under the graveyard. Ginny is the only one who gets her own possession subcat since Harry and Quirrel had so few about actual possession. Most of the Q-man posts had to do with whether or not LV knew Snape's loyalities. Q was merely a vessel and was not discussed in these. It may seem odd to put Barty and Peter together, but neither had enough for his own cat, and I totally had to get the general DE cat down, and going through them, I was surprised how much overlap there was between the 2 of them. That should cover it. Let me know if you need any more information or wish to discuss or question or anything like that. Ginger, really glad to get to this point. Ginger, who is not Kelly, but knows the answer to the first part: Yes, that happened to me when I got a new computer. I had to e-mail Paul and he had to "let me in". It was strange, no window opened when I clicked on 'send me a message', (from her Yahoo page) and then I couldn't add her to my friend list. When I tried again this morning, it wouldn't even load the page you need in order to send a message. I've never had this happen and wonder if she might have a privacy block on? All personnel are to check in as per Section 2, Part C of the Mandatory Attendance Policy. (1) All desks are to be decluttered as per Section 12, Part B of the Coder Code of Office Cleanliness. (2) All personnel are to be in strict adherance to the Company Dress Code. (3) All personnel are to provide auxilliary necessities as per the Mandatory Morale and Incentive Program. (4) These policies are reiterated below for those who have forgotten: (1) Drop a line at your earliest convenience so we know who is still alive and active. (2) Make room for booze and wipe off crumbs from the last party so as not to attract vermin and spread germs as we eat goodies now. (3) If you have a webcam, at least wear underwear. (4) Bring booze and other goodies as an offering to Miss H. Remember the addendum that virgin sacrifices are no longer allowed due to the fact that the only people who have time to do a lot of coding probably aren't getting any anyway or we wouldn't be sitting around coding. Miss H starts awake, the klaxon blaring in every room in the house. Oh no, another team needs her! She stuffs the notes for her 'construction virtual team battle plan' into her briefcase, rams on a hard hat and leaps feet first into cyber space. She lands with a splash in the whippy cold angry waters of Theory Bay. An array of militant-looking cataloguers are lined up on the beach. A scruffy individual with egg on his tie limps off into the George with a smirk on his face and some sort of peculiar child tied to his ankle. She'll deal with him later, perhaps by ringing social services. Girding something or other around her she wades ashore, dripping and shivering. It's been months since she was here, but it's clear that the Office has been in regular use judging by the array of bottles and chocolate wrappers. The silent crowd continues to glare, whilst a penguin shows off by diving on and off the good ship LOLLIPOP, which lies forlorn and beached on its side just off the shore, a few tattered deck chairs the only reminder of its glittering history. A tough cookie wearing a baseball cap steps forward with a bit of paper: > Dear Miss, > I am ready for the new LV cats to be installed. I have removed posts from everything except the main 2.10.1 category (currently my storage place) and from the Evil Overlord Handbook, all the acronyms, and Meaning of Name (which will no longer carry the analysis portion of the current title). > > ..the terse instructions continue for some pages. Guiltily, Miss H shuts herself away at the terminal for what seems hours, and is slightly surprised she can remember how to get in at all. There are, however, a few problems. If she carries out the instructions to the letter, she will have to restructure a big section of the character database. Peering cautiously round the door of the office, she sees that they all seem to watching some kind of muggle ball game involving jumping up and down and running about, and are not keeping quite such a sharp eye on her as they should. Miss H makes a few of the executive decisions for which she has become famed in the previous few months, gathers her stuff together and exits quickly by nipping up the stairs to His office, and down the secret escape shute en route to the pub. There is a big package, wrapped tastefully in a pale blue paper, and tied with a deep blue ribbon. Ginger ponders. It's too neat for the Penguin, so no need to worry that it is a practical joke. Ginger wonders if it might be chocolate, which she has given up for lent, but can certainly wait another week to eat. Realizing that pondering and wondering will get her nowhere, she unties the ribbon. A ray of light emerges from the package and Ginger finds herself looking at a beautiful new Voldemort category, with all kinds of lovely subcats. Dazzled by its brilliance, Ginger recalls the protion of the Graveyard scene where Wormtail gets his new hand. It's beautiful. Ginger crawls forward to kiss the hem of Miss' robe, assuring her that her loyalty will never waver. > Left scrawled in the dust on the table is a note: > > 'let me know if the categories are ok, and if you need more for any > other characters... well done team, just off to er, talk to a man > about a dog...' This weekend I have 6 chapters to read, 3 of which have online quizzes attatched, a lab on the digestive system to finish, a take home test to do, 3 other tests to study for, and my kitchen floor really needs mopping. What a gal, that Miss H, she's back for less than 24 hours, and all is right in the Bay..... Ginger, back to studying Ch 16 "Innate Immunity: Nonspecific Defenses of the Host".
