Duplicate comments in a thread can occur even when all current posts
in that thread have been read. There is a delay in posting
messages, sometimes a significant delay when Yahoo!Mort is acting
up, and posts on the same point could cross in cyberspace. This is
even more likely to occur to a listee in moderated status. I had
encountered delays of over 24 hours before some of my messages were
posted. By the time my messages were posted, they were at best
irrelevant. Even if the point wasn't duplicated, the discussion had
moved on to other things, and the original post might as well never
have been written.
