It took me less than a minute to identify that post and its author, 
and not much longer to verify that the post had been approved for 
the list by the list-elves.

I'm a little nervous, to say the least, of singling out specific 
posts for criticism here, especially of the generic 'does this 
poster *think*?' variety.

I still have trouble understanding whether the core problem is 
perceived as infractions of the list rules, or that the diversity of 
valid posting is problematic.
