I have to admit that this kind of compromise of a *short* period of 
closed membership never occurred to me.  I find the possibility much 
less odious than a full summer's lock-down.

I'm still thinking about how I feel about this one, though Valky's 
ideas for what admin could be doing in those two weeks were quite 
intriguing.  I hope more listees will offer up their thoughts on a 
potential posting ceasefire.
