catkind:
I really don't like the idea of having spoiler warnings after July
16th. I don't think anyone is going to be able to have a sensible
discussion *in the middle* of reading the book without any spoilers at
all. If people have for whatever reason not got around to starting the
book, it seems likely they haven't got much time for discussion anyway.
Are there really that many of us who're not going to be able to get
hold of the book at all by the time the list reopens *and* have time
on their hands *and* have something to say? I don't think so.
On the other hand, having spoiler warnings will make the discussion
very hard to follow. If you can't specify what you're posting about in
the title of your post for fear of spoilers we'll have hundreds of
posts a day entitled "HBP: The Ending" or whatever, which will be
impossible to navigate, and make it far more likely that lots of
individual posts will say exactly the same thing.
Just my thoughts.
