What to see?

If you are going to Yorkshire, are you going to visit York?  It is a 
beautiful place - with Roman ruins, castles, a wall surrounding the 
main part of the city, medieval/Tudor buildings (the Shambles), great 
places for afternoon tea, some wonderful museums...

Al suggests the London Eye.  Well, I went on Friday evening, and 
despite the fact that it was quite overcast, the view was 
spectacular.  Well worth it.

There are too many wonderful places in the UK to list here - I could 
write all day about good places to visit.  Are you hiring a car, or 
using public transport to travel?  If the former, the possibilities 
are endless...
