Hi everyone!
Yes.... the meeting at Greewich is still on, and the plan was to meet next
to The Cutty Sark (the actual ship, not the pub) at 1 o'clock on Saturday.
Plans are fairly open, but I have checked that the official attractions are
open, in case we want to go that route. It's possible to purchase an entry
ticket, for about 12 (concessions available and kids go free, apart from
the Cutty Sark), that covers the Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum, Old
Observatory (that hill! It's a bit of a killer) and Queen's House.
We could also just sit in the park, look at the markets (I think they're
open on Saturdays), stare at the river, walk through the tunnel, and so on.
Going to the pub that Catherine suggested might be nice, too. As it will be
lunchtime, we could also think of getting something to eat and sitting in
the park with it.
As to who is coming to this meeting, I have:-
US friends:
*Linda, husband and 10-year old son
*Anna (I think... Anna could you confirm whether or not you will be there?)
UK people:
*Michelle
*Catherine
*Al
*Myself
I'll post an Announcement to see if there are any later takers...
I guess I'll be wearing something vaguely HP (a t-shirt), as an identifier,
but there are pictures of me in the files section of the main club (and one
with Michelle in it as well). Ignore the one of me as Snape - I don't
really look like that and don't intend to use the Polyjuice Potion..
Michelle is the only person I've met before, so it would be helpful to have
some pictures or descriptions of the rest of you posted here, if you have
time before Saturday (I've left this request a bit late, eh?). IIRC, Linda
won't have access to the list at the moment, and the same may be true for
Anna. Al may be chewing a pencil in the exam room...
I guess we'll spot each other though... we'll be the people in purple robes
and pointed hats.
Click on the "map" at this link to get your bearings, if needs be:

See you there!
