Greetings, members of HP4GU, London branch. Some of you may already
know me from the main list or the chat, but I'd imagine that there must
be a few people in this list that don't know of me, and I thought I
should introduce myself (although I did need a final push from Michelle
- I'm not the one for self-introductions).

Anyway, since I don't like to use up a post just to introduce myself, I
thought I should give you a little background information on myself and
my future plans (and how all that relates to this list, obviously).

First thing, a bit about myself: I'm not from the UK, and I'm currently
writing in an alien language (from my PoV). I am known as Grey Wolf,
and I'm studying Computer Science. As a byproduct of my studies of
computer security, I distrust sending personal information about myself
through the Inet, except in very small quantities. Which means, for
example, that I am known only as Grey Wolf, and only four people in the
lists know my real name (and half of them, only by accident).

At any rate, I'd like to meet a few other Harry Potter fans, since in
my own country I've been unable to find any. I'll be studying next year
at Southampton, and Michelle suggested I could attend a few of your
meetings while I'm here. She even threw a few clues about arranging a
"wellcome meeting", which I would love, but at any rate there's still
time to think about it (I'm still arranging a place to stay for the
next year, and that's enough headache for some time).

I understnad that Michelle may be posting shortly other consequences of
my visit (like the need for organizing formally the HP2 film-viewing).
But, since it's her department, I will allow her to develop it.

Anyway, if you can spare a few moments to greet a poor wolf who's going
to be away from home and family, alone for a year and in an alien
country, for the first time of his life (without counting sporadic
one-month stays in Ireland to improve my English), I'd be very grateful
to read your comments.

Hope that helps,

Grey Wolf
