mentioned his would be about I wasn't sure if he meant they would be coming

As for children, I suppose it would depend on the format of the meeting.
It's not typical to bring kids along, as we're often meeting in pubs and
suchlike, but I've been to meetings here and with the New York group where
there were children were present.
