Hello Sam
Nice to "meet" you!
Flitwick is not too far away from me its on the line out of St pancras.
Icould have a look on the interent to see how far the station is from a
pub etc...
Your idea sounds like a great one, BTW the IMAX trip was an amazing
experienc! I'm planning to see Spiderman 2 when it comes out on the IMAX
screen. The IMAX gets you so involved in the movie!
Your hometown of Oxford is a lovley place too I went there for a weekend a
year ago, so perhaps there may be some suitable quiet places round there?
There is also the town of Dudly which is somewhere between Birminghan New
street and Wolverhapton.
Ben
BTW I'm also 29 and like you prefer quiet places rather noisy ones as due to
my hearing impairment (see my getting to know you e-mail) I find hearing in
noisy surrondings difficult, though I managed to have an interesting
conversation with Neil on Sunday as he was sitting opposite me.

I'm sorry to have missed you on Sunday. I ended up giving twelve
eight-year-olds a Harry Potter quiz at my nephew's birthday party instead.
I'll introduce myself anyway and hope to get to the next meet-up.
I'm Sam, 29, married to Mike and mother of Tabitha, (2 1/2) and Hermione,
(yes really, 11 months.) We live in Oxfordshire. I'm an at-home mum at the
moment although I qualified as a nurse last year. (Good luck to Jo:) )
I discovered Harry Potter three years ago when I was asked to read a bit of
PS to my nephew and found myself more engrossed than he was. I discovered
the fandom in the desperate wait for OoP to be released last year. I don't
think I've ever posted to the main HPFGU list because I'm always too far
behind in posts to have anything new or interesting to add. I do enjoy the
weekly chat though. I get away with sharing half-formed ideas there.
Speaking of half-formed ideas...
Would anyone be interested in exploring Britain a bit in future meet ups?
I'm more of a quiet pub garden kind of girl myself and I couldn't help
noticing an attractive-looking little village called Snape on a map of
Suffolk. There was a Flitwick somewhere near Bedford too, although I don't
know anything about it yet. Then there's always the film locations, we could
have a series of day trips/weekends to make up a Harry Potter pilgrimage.
What does everyone think? I've got a nasty feeling this is where I find out
even other adult Harry Potter fans think I'm a bit barmy;)
Sam
