McGonnagal-quidditch 1971?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but did anyone notice 
that McGonnagal had a quidditch trophy which was dated 1971?  James 
Potter's was dated 1972.  I never thought these characters were 
supposed to be anywhere close to the same age.  Nor did I ever think 
they went to Hogwarts at the same time which the dates on the 
trophies imply. We know Harry was the yougest seeker in a century by 
being a first year quidditch seeker.  If this is the case, the 
earliest James could have been a seeker was in his second year- 
1972.  This would make James' first year 1971, potentially 
McGonnagal's last year at Hogwarts.  

I don't know, maybe I just read the dates wrong, afterall they're 
only shown for a second.
