No, don't retreat or run screaming into lurkdom.  You are definitely 
not alone with the Snape-is-sexy opinion, although I can't agree.  I 
love the book version of Snape because he's so interesting and 
complex, but, he never struck me as sexy.  And film Snape didn't 
change my opinion, although I do love the Rickman voice.  And I 
certainly can't characterize him as a sweetheart, in any way, shape 
or form...but that's just me.  I'm sure there are plenty of others on 
this list who agree with you and think I'm an idiot.  

I would have liked to see Snape with a little more facial animation.  
Rickman was just a bit too expressionless.  But that may be an 
advantage in PoA, when towards the end poor Snape is almost foaming 
at the mouth with rage and frustration.  Guess we'll all have to wait 
and see.
