Neither.  I think his work is kust plain clunky. As JKR's books get darker and 
mor complicated, he'll be even less adequate to the task. I want Terry Gilliam!

For this alone, I'd gladly boil him in oil.  I do forgive him the "Home 
Alone"-style scream that Draco delivered in the Dark Forest, though: making 
him look even more like Macaulay Culkin certainly enhanced his evilness for 
me!

Now, that I agreed with: Having the Dursleys on the run from magic, and the 
storminess and isolation of the hut on the rock, enhanced Hagrid's entrance 
and the contrast between Harry's old life and his new one.

I agree completely, and would be glad to see Williams depart along with 
Columbus.

I think this was more a result of time constraints and technical obstacles, 
rather than the director's fault.
