I think /I/ sat with more bated breath & expressions of shock during
this scene than half the kids in the theatre! I have to agree that
this was one of the better-than-in-book scenes of this movie. It also
just seems to work better with the storyline. Even though I didn't
like how they did the face of Voldemort, this has definitely become
one of the stand-out scenes of the movie. Towards the end I was
wondering how they were going to make Harry pass out since Quirrel was
exploding (while I was sitting there thinking, "This is a kids' movie!
I didn't know this could happen in a kids' movie!") into tiny shards.
The visual affect of Voldemort's "spirit" moving on with no host-body
was more stunning than the written words of JKR in this scene.
