There could have been a passage of time, but the movie should have
indicated it.

They surgically removed it from Dumbledore, went back in time to the
set of the MGM _Wizard of Oz_, and inserted it into Billie Burke's
Glinda. :)

I've seem people do it in college so I nodded at that, though
I think it's more a "Hermione" thing to do...
