Well, sorry to disappoint you, but I really doubt Rupert follows American college football very closely. :)  His favorite sport I read somewhere, naturally, is European football (i.e. soccer for those of us in the U.S.)

It is, however, possible that it was sent by fans.  It did seem rather an odd choice of attire for a premiere, but it was very unusual so maybe that's why he selected it.  And if, in fact, it was sent by a fan I'm sure they'd have gotten a thrill by it.
