I always pictured James in Gryffindor. Sirius I could always kind of
see coming from Slytherin.. or (to a lesser extent) maybe Ravenclaw
(he was most intelligent). But, being best friends, I'd assume he
and James came from the same house.

Wouldn't Slytherins be more prone to like each other? Perhaps Sirius
WAS a Slytherin, but chose James as a friend (is he a half-blood,
maybe?).. and that was a bit of friction with Snape? Oh.. but then,
some people have speculated that if anyone knows about the muggle
world, it's motorcycle driving Sirius (i.e. he's half-blood.. or
mudblood, for that matter). Would he be in Slytherin?

Ack! Don't mind me.. just rambling with some ideas.
