I always thought that seemed rather reflective of their characters, 
actually.  Hermione and Ron (well, more often Ron, but H too...) are very 
often in Harry's shadow.  An intriguing parallel which I'm sure occurs to 
all 3 actors, not to mention everyone else, on a regular basis.
