Dan's pay, the movie still and Help The Aged

As in any business, salary is based partially on experience. Daniel's
pay for PS/SS seems amazingly low compared to what the movie has
taken in, but remember that there was also money going out to pay for
everything that goes *into* a movie. Including other, far more
experienced actors, special effects, the composer, post production,
advertising, sets, rental of property, licences and leases, etc.
Check out the list of credits at the end of the movie - every one of
those people had a paycheck coming to them.
Making a movie costs *big* bucks - especially one heavy on special
effects.
I'm not taking anything away from Daniel's performance. I'm simply
saying that, as a newcomer - even with a couple of credits to his
name - $300,000 was probably pretty standard.
With an established hit under his belt, yes - it is completely
standard for his agent to demand and receive a much higher salary for
his client.
