"I know we don't meet Moody until way ahead in book
4,but my sister was watching James and the Giant Peach
yesterday and I just thought 'Pete
Postlethwaite would be great as Moody'. He isn't
anything like how I visualised Moody to be, but he can
play scared deranged auror when he wants to."
My brother - a big film buff - had another interesting
suggestion for Moody. How 'bout Anthony hopkins? He
would be great at the bit in the very end after the
third task but before the Polyjuice Potion wears
off... he can do that kind of scary like few others!
"As for (Lockhart's) outfit -- it seems to be a
golden-boy version of Snape's Victorian garb, with the
robes unfastened, the better to show off his other
layers of finery."
I can deal with Lockhart's short(er) hair, and I even
like his clothes. If you look at the edges of the
picture, you can see deep pleats in whatever he's
wearing over his vest, etc. These are similar to the
deep pleats we saw on the back of Quirrel's robes in
the final chamber, after Harry's gotten the Stone from
the Mirror and Quirrel has - for lack of a better
word - disintegrated. So I think he is wearing a robe
over his muggle clothes. (Remember in the flying
lesson scene - Madam Hooch has a perfectly
"muggle"outfit on under her robes) My only complaint
about Lockhart's clothes is their color! The gold is
appropriate, but whatever happened to turquoise,
pink,forget-me-not blue, and lavendar?
=====
'The Goblet of Fire had just turned red again. Sparks were flying out of it. A long flame shot suddenly into the air, and borne upon it was another piece of parchment... There was a long pause, during which Dumbledore stared at the slip in his hands and everyon in the room stared at Dumbledore. And then Dumbledore cleared his throat and read out -
"Harry Potter."
