I confess to being worried about the rest of the series being made
into films. In my opinion Warner Bros "dummed down" PS/SS and
definitely orientated it towards the children market. They couldn't
do that with either POA or GOF without losing the esssence of the
books, which means they would have to adapt quite a bit. I'm not
saying they can't, but I'm slightly scared about the end result.
Whilst I have watched PS ad nauseam and *love* it, I don't actually
think it's a brilliant film, and I would hate a *bad* film to be made
of any of the HP books. I would certainly be very upset if they
changed any of the major characters. In short I personally would
rather they made no film than a bad one. At the moment though, HP has
been so successful that it still seems to have enough mileage for at
least a 3rd film.
On another subject, Darkmark.com note that Newsround have again
repeated that Book 5 is likely to come out at the end of this year.
(June 3) As Newsround is the BBC's children news which has often had
access to good accurate info on HP, I certainly want to believe this.
