I totally agree with you. I really like the way they design Dobby and
its looks very similar to what I imagine him to be like. And I think
he looks dead on according to the book's description! He's pooor,
abused looking, totally fit the image of a miserable slave of the
Malfoy's! Besides, I don't think Dobby is suppose to be cute looking.
Just look at Harry's attitude toward Dobby, he thinks he is a "very
ugly doll"! And none of the other characters in the book think Dobby
is a cute puppies either! (including Hermione, who's a girl, who
normally will react a certain way toward cute things, but she
didn't.) Anyways, I'm just saying that from the book, Dobby seems
like an ugly annoying thing anyways (at least to me), and the movie
design perfectly delivered that feeling.
