If you listen, there's some uncomfortable
murmuring

Yes! All the reactions were a little too slow. It took away from the
impact of the scene and instead we're left with Hermione's eyes
filling with tears. If it had been shot closer to the scene in the
book, we would have gotten the hint of the possible romance without
the awkward handshake scene.
