Exactly.  Everytime someone casts a spell in the films, we don't see 
it working until *after* the incantation is said both completely and 
accurately (as far as I know, this is consistent with book cannon, 
too).  And even with the proper incantation, the spell may not work 
if there isn't enough power and/or focus to fuel it--see, for 
example, the half-transfigured objects that always get produced in 
McGonagall's classes.  So I'm pretty sure AK is only "unblockable" 
when it's cast properly--and since Lucius never completed the 
incantation, the spell was never actually cast.  Also, if I remember 
correctly, the trademark green light that AK gives off is never 
present in the scene, which would be further evidence of the spell 
not being truly in effect.
