Strange that, my first reaction on hearing that Branagh had the part was an
emphatic *Yes!*  I suppose it is because I've seen him to a lot of stage
work here in the U.K. from Hamlet to comedy and feel he could do the
overthetop luvvieness of Gilderoy Lockhart without it becoming camp,
something your average youngster would not appreciate (or simply laugh at
for the wrong reasons).

I rather think I will enjoy the rearrangement of the duelling scene and not
regret the changes, as it does look well done.  The little bits of students
doing stuff to each otehr can legitimately be dispensed with.  However, as
the film comes in at just two minutes under three hours it may be safe to
assume they will put it in, if only for the giggle element.  As I have
tickets booked for 8/11/02 (Cineworld permitting....) I may be able to let
you know.
