Well, first of all I agree, he does say it a little too clearly. But
there's something we need to remember; sometimes trailer clips are
made especially for the trailers. Other times they use out-takes, or
film footage that's been cut from the movie. So we may not be seeing
the actual final film footage.
I also didn't like the fireplace. You just don't find that many
fireplaces that are big enough to stand up in. Although, they may have
done this, so they didn't have to use a real flame. Since, it's smoke
from the real fire that chokes Harry, they may have changed how he
says it to made up for the absent of real smoke and fire.
My vision of this scene, is a normal size fireplace with a real fire
burning in it. When you throw the powder in, green flames shoot out
the from of the fireplace into the room. It's these green flames and
not the fireplace itself that you step into. This gives you the smoke
you need for Harry to choke on. What are they going to do when Harry
has to use the fireplace at the Dursley's? They certainly aren't going
to have a 'walk in' fireplace in the average Englishman's home.
Maybe, some people have a house warming fireplace and a separate
fireplace for travel. Either way, I didn't find the fireplace very
believeable.
Second point, part of what made Harry get out of the 'Floo stream' is
that, in his thoughts, he asked or wanted to get out. Remember Mrs.
Weasley told him not to get out at the wrong grate. I think this is
what she meant. Don't 'desire' to get out until you see Fred and
George standing outside the fireplace, then 'want' to get out there.
I'm not dicounting the fact that you tell the Floo network where you
want to go. I'm just implying that there are a lot of variables.
So after all that, my real point is, that maybe they came up with some
other excuse for Harry to get out at the wrong fireplace. In the
movie, it might not hinge on what he says, but may be the result of
some other factor.
Just a bunch of random thoughts.
