No New Kids!

I agree - getting used to new faces as our beloved characters would
take away from the film I think.

I know this has been discussed before, but I just can't understand
why so many people seem to think that it isn't possible for say, Dan
to play Harry when he is 1-2 years older than Harry's actual age, and
his voice is deeper, etc. All kids have growth spurts at odd times:
some mature faster than others. Lots of TV shows involve 20
somethings playing teenagers. As far as I'm concerned, once the
characters hit 14 or 15, it really shouldn't matter too much if the
actors are a couple years older. I think the character development
is more important than having kids who are actually that age. If Dan
was 19 or 20 when the 7th movie came out, I think he could pull it
off just fine. It would be better in a way, because the stories are
supposed to get darker as they get older, and the kids would be more
seasoned as actors.

I think if the kids get tired of making the movies, that's another
matter. They have a right to "just be kids," and not lose their
entire childhood to a series of movies. But if they want to
continue, I think it would be really sad if they were recast just bc
of their age.

just my 2 knuts..

Lorien K.
currently wishing she was 13 again so she could have a major crush on
Dan.... sigh...
