Tut tut, Lilac, you must have missed both Helen and my heartfelt
apologies. Qv. Msg 3575 and 3576.

  Me:

I actually *did* miss those messages, because I get the digest (see subject line), so I don't see what anyone else has said until I get all the messages one time per day. I did see the apologies as I was reading the digest mere moments ago, and then this other message as well, which was after I posted my message yesterday.

Nia:

In messages of this kind, one cannot read emotion or intent. Neither of our comments were meant to be malicious or demeaning in any way. I have a rather wicked sense of humor and online, since no one can see when I am teasing or
being a bit sarcastic, and the winking emoticon is not exactly
right, I can come off as a bit sniffy. Both our objections were to
arguments which basically repeated themselves. It didn't seem as if
anyone was considering what had already been said, that is all.
Really, I'm a very nice person.

Me:

Helen and Nia, I know that you were not intending to be malicious, and I could tell that the eye discussion was drawing to a close before you both said something about it. You are both forgiven, of course...how can I stay angry at someone who "tut tut's" at me? ;-) I never was angry, really...I felt a little bad, that's all, and I just wanted to point out that "Cocktail Party" post because I think she brought up some good points.

Now, can you both forgive me for what appears to be a totally rude post, when in fact I didn't see any remarks until this morning? I really wanted to warn anybody off so that they didn't feel like they had to read it. Like talking to yourself at a cocktail party.

Nia:

Now, this post is interesting and merits some discussion. I think,
perhaps Columbus' comments would squelch the idea about CG-ing in
green eyes and the mysterious changes in Daniel's eye color in the
third trailer. It will be interesting to see if the environmental
influences Columbus discusses will be at all distracting during the
film. I think that knowing what to expect and exactly why Daniel's
eyes will remain blue, will greatly ease canon-based fans' anxieties.

Me:

It does mine, at least. I love green eyes, and I loved that color on the Harry I imagined when reading, because it's such a different color...not many people in this world can say they have *pure* green eyes. But, knowing that his eyes are blue and they will not change the color CG-wise, I am okay with that because Dan *does* have some really nice blue eyes. They will probably be vague about eye color in the film (i.e. only saying "You have Lily's eyes" and not mentioning color) and let the natural lighting do it's job.

I think I am stuck on the green-eye thing because I have a theory that they are a link to Lily's past...that she's somehow related to Voldemort/Riddle or Slytherins in general, because the color green seems to represent Slytherins/Voldy (V. ak shoots out green, Green is the house color, etc.). I always thought that this would lend more credence to Dumbledore's belief that your choices matter more than your genes, especially if he was related somehow. But it really could be just the shape of eye.

~Lilac, who hopes that Nia and Helen are her friends again...

I say so in Year with the Yeti." --Gilderoy Lockhart, COS
