Uh-oh, religious argument! ;)
I am of the Sirius's-Eyes-Are-Blue School, from the fact that
animagi's animal forms have evocations of their human forms
(McGonagall's feline 'spectacles', for instance). Padfoot's eyes are
referred to as 'pale', which leads one to think 'blue'. There's also
the fact that Sirius is a blue-white star, and the visual parallel is
desperately charming.
All those other people *harrumph* think Sirius's eyes are brown,
because of his dark hair, and the fact that brown eyes are a dominant
gene (cf. Colin Farrell, 'Minority Report' et al).
There IS no canonical statement -- yet. Yet another reason to fidget
fretfully for OoP.

html just for fun. :) It doesn't answer the question, but it can be
kinda handy.
