Ah, well, I suppose that explains it. I imagine he was barely eleven when they
started, that is a bit young to be wearing contacts. I found it rather
interesting that though they didn't bother to color his eyes in the first
movie, they did in the first poster book. Bright green eyes, very bright! Yet
in the poster book for CoS his eyes are their natural color. Quite a dazzling
blue, I guess they decided to leave well enough alone!
I read an article on Daniel Radcliffe exposed today which says he's grown 6
inches in the past year and is now 5'3" tall. Err, not unusual for a thirteen
year old, what is the big deal? Anyway, was he *really* only 4'9" just a year
ago? I find that a bit hard to believe. That's rather short for a twelve year
old boy. Not unheard of, naturally, I taught a few over the summer about that
size.
Still, I can't understand the big deal. Sure, Harry's supposed to be a bit
scrawny, but as long as Daniel doesn't fatten up too much you can be scrawny
and still be tall. And just give the others high heels and everyone will be
fine. :) Anyway, isn't it a bit late to worry over it? He's already signed on
for PoA.

Well, I'm doing all I can for the Harry Potter campaign here. :) My first
graders asked me last week when I was going to read them Harry Potter. Didn't
quite know what to say. They're a bit, well, underdeveloped. Don't quite
think they could handle it. Still, I'm promoting it wildly amongst the staff
here. I've got one of the Kindergarten teachers reading it now. And others
are getting rather curious. One teacher bought me a Harry Potter Stained Glass
coloring book over the weekend. How sweet. And yes, I love to color. Comes
with teaching first grade.
Well, better stop rambling and send this off before the aforementioned first
graders return from P.E. <sigh>

Poor Daniel, I heard the contacts really, really bothered him so
they just left them off. He's adorable, either way. Oh, and
Richelle, I have read your posts for weeks and I have wanted to let
you know how I enjoy all of them, here and at HPfGU. You've brought
up some really good things and made me think. That, and the fact
that I am sooo glad to have finally met a teacher that has not just
read HP, but LOVES it ;-). I think I am the only parent at my kids'
school that has read the books, much less a teacher there. Anyway,
keep it up and I look forward to reading more of your posts!
