Welcome Barbara. I think I work on the premise that nice looking people can't possibly turn into mass!serial!megalomanical wizarding killers. however, in this case it seems he does!! Ah well.
Secondly, I have been racking my brains for days (yest it takes that long) to remember who Lucius Malfoy, the splendidly and evilly blonde Jason Isaacs, reminds of then I remembered - Rik Mayall - in this case in smug, smooth and bleached blonde mode. Maybe I am alone in this, ah well, never mind.

Hi everyone,
I'm brand new to the list and have been trying to play
catch-up via the message archives. I came to the Potter
books after seeing the movie, so for me the actors are
pretty dead on in terms of my picturing them when reading.
I think the big exceptions will be with CoS after just
seeing the latest pictures on the Leaky Cauldron site. Does
anyone else think the Tom Riddle character looks too "nice"
to become Voldemort?
It was a thrill hearing that Jason Isaacs would be Lucius
Malfoy since he was so deliciously evil in "The Patriot"
but who on earth decided on that long blond hair? Blond
maybe, but the slicked back long style in that picture is
godawful. Hopefully it will look better on screen once he's
doing his dastardly stuff.
