Changing JKR's Dialogue (WAS: Wow!)

Now me:

Perhaps I'm too much of a purist to be participating in this list, 
but I did *not* like this interchange, primarily because it's nowhere 
to be found in the text of CoS and it's something Lucius would 
*never* say in the true Potterverse.  Plus, Harry *isn't* always able 
to save the day - he couldn't stop Voldemort from recorporating 
himself in GoF or Wormtail from killing Cedric.  This makes me wonder 
if they're not planning any more movies after PoA (since Harry *does* 
save the day in PoA).

I suppose the scriptwriters needs to come up with new lines to earn 
their paychecks, but IMO the best lines in the first movie were those 
that came right from the text (the scene in Ollivander's wand shop 
comes immediately to mind).  JKR's dialogue is superb - why mess with 
it?

Just MHO.
