Me again:

Glad to know I'm not alone.  It wasn't Harry's defiance that bothered 
me, though - I see him as fairly defiant in CoS (especially when he 
returns the mutilated diary to Lucius and sets Dobby free in the 
process).  It was Lucius' sarcasm that bothered me, because IIRC, 
he's never sarcastic in any of the books.  Draco is often sarcastic, 
but Lucius isn't.  It also bothered me that Harry was so sure he'd 
always be able to save the day when he doesn't save the day in GoF 
and we still have 3 books to go in which we don't yet know whether or 
not he'll save the day (after all, JKR has intimated she may kill him 
off in the end).

Your point about the trailer showing pieces of the film out of 
context is a good one - perhaps this scene won't seem so strange once 
we see it in the movie.
